One of the highlights of this year is the release of the Noctua NHD15 G2 chromax.black.
It is a cooler I have been waiting for a long time, and unboxing it for the first time reminded me of how I felt when I first used the NHU12A chromax.black.
I have been a big fan of the Noctua chromax.black line for many years, and my editing PC is also fully built with chromax.black parts.
My PC build videos on this channel also began with this lineup, and the radiators and case fans play a key role in creating a strong and clean allblack style.
I have already used the original colour versions of the NHD15 G2 and NFA14x25 G2 in previous build videos.
Compared to the older NHD15 and NFA14, which have been on the market for over 10 years, the improvements in cooling performance and noise levels are very clear.
The older chromax.black versions used separate fan cables, which sometimes came loose during the build.
The new versions use an integrated design, making the building process and later maintenance much more stable.
According to Noctua’s product roadmap, the NFA12x25 G2 chromax.black is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026.
This makes me even more excited for the ZERO RGB blackout builds I am planning.
It has been almost ten months since my last allblack build without RGB back in January, so working on a new project with parts I have been waiting for feels very special to me.
Since I prefer to keep a bit of clearance between the air cooler and the GPU, and the cooling performance is already sufficient for the Ryzen 9800X3D, I used the standard mode of the CPU mounting bracket.
Additionally, the preinstalled antisag GPU bracket comes into contact with the graphics card fans, so it was not used during testing.
